Corporate media claim that Democrats are divided, but on Sunday Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) put this false claim to rest.
Speaker Pelosi dispels the myth that Democrats are divided on infrastructure, “Building better supports more than 5% of our Caucasus. So when you say Democrats are divided, no. Too frustrating – I didn’t actually see 5% of Caucasus. Anything. For. ” pic.twitter.com/7Hqoqbevt7

A copy of ABC’s Speaker Pelosi this week:
George Stefanopoulos. So, I’ve made a pretty awesome list right there. You said the next few days are a time of intensification for Congress.
Have you ever faced so many challenges?
Speaker Pelosi. Every time we face a challenge, you will say it is a historic challenge, whether it is the Affordable Care Act or another law that we passed in the previous administration.
It’s all the wonderful legal process that we have. But I thank you for saying this is President Biden’s agenda because that’s exactly it. This is the vision of the President. And he said that when he wants to pass the infrastructure bill – and we will – that he will not limit his vision for the future to just that bill, which was about building back better.
And Building Back Better has the support of more than 95 percent of our caucuses. So, when you say Democrats are divided – no, irresistibly, I’ve never seen, in fact, more than 95 percent of the Caucasus do anything. There are some who disagree, and I respect that, about the size of the package, and some senators – a couple of senators. And we need to find our common ground respecting each other’s opinions.
But it’s not about moderates versus progressives. Coincidentally, the totality of our caucus, with the exception of a few whose verdicts I respect, supports Joe Biden’s view. And we’ll pass – make progress this week.
Democrats are not divided. Democrats are arguing over logistics.
Even moderates who have expressed concern about the bill are only concerned about spending. They agree on legal priorities. The progressives are trying to protect their interests and the moderates are trying to ensure that they do not get cold feet and do not give them bail.
The ongoing dance is a complex discussion, but nothing has come to mean that Democrats are in any danger of not passing the law.
The media likes the Democrats ’divided narrative and as usual they are wrong.
