In the past few days, Taiga has faced a firestorm after his ex-girlfriend Camerin Swanson shared a history of domestic violence between them. Even after revealing the graphic details, Cameron told Instagram followers that “his intentions were never to make it public.”
In a long Instagram story post, the model explained that she was trying to correct a false narrative.
“Unfortunately” someone “misrepresented TMZ and portrayed me as someone I was not, accusing me of something that didn’t happen and something I didn’t do,” he wrote.
As previously covered, Camerin shared a short clip on Instagram showing a black eye injury. It is not clear when the incident happened. However, he described feeling “very embarrassed and ashamed” in the caption of the video. He ended the caption with a note about standing up for himself.
She shared another post and tagged TMZ in a photo of her deeply wounded.
Cameron wrote in the caption of her photo, “@TMZ_TV, I have been emotionally, mentally and physically abused and I am no longer hiding it.”
In response to the news, Taiga surrendered himself to the authorities. He did not mention any social media of the allegation until Wednesday evening. The “taste” papyrus was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence. He was later released on 50,000 bond.
For Camerin, she made it clear in Wednesday’s update that the issues in her post involved taking matters into her own hands. He complained that TMZ had published “fake news” with their reporting which led him to tell the side of his story.
“Looking back now, I’m proud of myself for making a statement and standing up for myself,” Camerin wrote. “I’m happy to raise awareness of women who are going through this and hopefully inspire others to stand up for themselves.”
He thanked “everyone” for their warmth and tenderness in a separate post.
“The extraordinary love and support I have received from many of you has helped me a lot,” he wrote. “I see you and I thank you.”
This story involving Tyga is still evolving.
