UK fintech company Tide has identified five side hostels that they think are worth a shot. Each one is simple and doesn’t take too long, but can really make a big difference to your finances.

Do you have any special skills, such as web design, article writing, or transcribing? Do you have a computer and internet access? Then you may be able to increase your income by working part time freelance. Sites like Fiber and Upwork have extensive freelance work for almost every skill set.

The best part about freelancing is that you can work wherever and whenever you like. You can also choose the type of clients and projects you work on.

2. Virtual Assistant

Virtual assistants are usually hired by busy executives or business owners who need help with day-to-day work. These may include invoices, social media management, proofreading, answering customer inquiries, sending emails, and more. Like freelancers, virtual assistants can do the job remotely and from anywhere in the world.

3. Blogging

Blogging refers to the self-expression of content online. With blogging, it’s mostly about building a personal brand based on what you’re interested in or what skills you have. These can include travel, fitness, marketing and business.

5. Affiliate Marketing

Through affiliate marketing, you are basically paid to drive traffic to a specific website through unique affiliate links. These affiliate links can be placed in blogs, emails, social media posts, etc.

The amount of money you can make will be greatly influenced by the niche you choose and the number of vendors in that niche. So, it is better to choose a niche with lots of product sellers (like ebooks) to increase your chances of making money.

Useful tips for any side rush

When it comes to choosing a rush next to you, it’s important to do something that you actually enjoy. You will be more motivated to rush to your side and increase your chances of success if it is something fun for you.

Remember there are some days when you are going to work in trouble next to you when you are physically tired or mentally exhausted from your regular job. So, your side gig has to be something you are not afraid of and you are really looking forward to.

In the same breath, seriously consider how much time you can give to the rush to your side. Since this is what you do in addition to your regular job, the last thing you want is to rush to your side and intervene in your main source of income. This is why finding something with flexible hours or you can adapt to your existing schedule.
