The most popular Halloween candy in every US state, plus the top candy cravings

InstaCart, The popular grocery delivery and pick-up platform, has officially released its Halloween Candy data report এবং and the results may surprise you.

“The most terrifying time of the year has finally come here, and Americans have found the spirit by filling their Halloween candy baskets,” InstaCart trend expert Laurentia Romanius told Fox News. “According to last year’s InstaCart purchase data, customers bought 2.5 million pounds of candy in the weeks leading up to October 31.”

“Whether they buy quick trick-or-treat candy or enjoy candy for themselves, candy is a central part of the spirit and celebration of Halloween. For many, it’s often more important than a costume,” he added, adding that it’s America’s top. When it comes to candy, candy lovers prefer bite-sized chocolate treats with peanut M&M and M&M and are at the top of the charts as one and two top candy products sold on InstaChart in terms of weight.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate and Twizler are in third, fourth and fifth place, respectively.

To dig into everything Halloween candy this year, InstaCart partnered with Harris Paul to collect survey responses from nearly 2,000 Americans across the country, ranging from favorite and least favorite candy to “trick-or-treat confession” questions (read : Mom stole candy).

Last minute candy shopping: According to InstaCart, about half (43%) of all candy purchases in October are in the last week of the month, with October 31 being the peak day for buying candy because people are ready for jokes or treats.

South Candy Corn likes: InstaCart data shows that Mississippi, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina and Arkansas are more likely to buy candy corn than the national average.

The biggest sweet tooth: The top five states that buy the most candy are all west of the Mississippi River, and the bottom 5 states are east of Mississippi.

Snatching from children: More than half of parents (53%) are absolutely or probably going to eat their kids candy this year. 56% of these parents said they would not feel guilty about it.
