Texas is poised for what could be the largest influx of illegal immigrants in U.S. history

As the Biden administration continues to tie the hands of U.S. border patrols, Texas state officials are preparing for the largest influx of illegal immigrants arriving across the U.S. southern border from Mexico.

Thousands of Haitian immigrants entered the country under the Del Rio Texas International Bridge a few weeks ago and it came after it was collected.

The Biden administration has curtailed border patrols and immigration and customs enforcement (ICE), meaning fewer immigrants have been deported and more people have entered the country, eventually encouraging more immigrants to cross the border illegally.

Texas law enforcement is on the rise

Because border patrols are largely drawn from the border and used to process migrants, state law enforcement agencies such as the Department of Public Security and the National Guard are filling the border patrol gap.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted over the weekend, “The Texas National Guard is preparing to increase the number of convoys trying to cross the border because of Biden’s open border policy. They are working with the Texas Department of Public Safety to seal off ge-bound areas along the border and arrest intruders. ”

Rena Eze, a spokeswoman for Governor Abbott, said thousands of National Guard troops have been deployed along the border since March but would not give the exact number. About a thousand DPS officers were sent to Del Rio late last month, DPS officials said.

How Haitian immigrants come to the United States

A number of factors have contributed to the massive migration of Haitians to the United States

In just the past year, the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere have endured a major earthquake, a powerful hurricane and political unrest since the country’s president was assassinated in July.

Many have been living in South American countries like Brazil and Chile for several years, but with the help of cartels they are heading to the United States, their trek taking them to Panama and Central America and north.

Panamanian Foreign Minister Erica Muens said last month that the Panamanian government was “alarmed” about the imminent influx of immigrants to the United States.

He said there was no response from the Biden administration.

A group of 1,000,000 is heading north to Texas, with another 1,000,000 currently in Colombia and on to Panama. Moynes added, “We are engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come to, say, ‘Please, pay attention to this.'”

Texas is taking care of its own borders

Last week, Governor Abbott allocated an additional $ 100 million in Texas taxpayer dollars to Operation Lone Star.

The program includes state troops, the Texas Rangers and the National Guard assisting border patrols with risk. There have been about 4,600 arrests as of last month. Abbott says they are arresting and jailing anyone who crosses the border into private property or government land.

But Texas is wondering what the federal government should help. Last week, the Biden administration introduced new guidelines that said illegal immigrants should not be deported solely on the basis of their immigration status.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the DHS would focus on “arresting, detaining and deporting those who could pose a threat.” There was no answer as to what exactly could be the threat and how exactly the officials would know who was the threat.

Secretary Myorcas is concerned that if the border protocol is withdrawn, more than 400,000 could cross the border next month, ten times more than the average month of the past decade, and Biden took over by dwarfing the 78,000 that came across in January.
