Butch Harmon has vowed not to predict the outcome of the Ryder Cup ahead of Sunday’s singles Europe in Medina. But with 11-5 down, would a return to Whistling Strait be the greatest in sports history?

Team USA may have their biggest lead in the Ryder Cup since 1975, but Butch Harmon is wary of a repeat of the miracle in Medina and will not rule out the possibility of a historic return to Europe.

I made a big mistake in Medina before the singles match started, when I said that the Europeans have no way to back down from four points, and I will never make that mistake again.

So I’m not going to go out on a limb and tell you who will win, but I’ll say it’s not over yet. Team Europe will bring their single line-up to the forefront and try to get their best players to do something first. And, as we know, it’s sports, it’s golf, and it never ends until it’s over.

One big difference from Medina this week, in addition to the scoreline two days later, is that Team USA has six rookies who have never lost the Ryder Cup. They don’t know what it’s like to have scar tissue to be on the losing team.

I think that’s what Americans are doing for them on Sunday, and I’m sure these kids will continue to play well and be aggressive. If they can get points on the board in the first few matches, it will get to the point where the rest doesn’t matter.

It’s easy to say, but it won’t be easy to do.

It’s one of the best teams we’ve seen in the history of the Ryder Cup, and when they are incredible at such a young age. Yes, half the team rookie, but one of those cheaters has already won two big ones.

While PGA has won those five rookies on the tour, Patrick Cantley has just won the FedExCup, so Ryder Cup rookies are a different breed these days and ages. Scott Scheffler is the only player without a win, yet he has played great golf this week.

This is a young team, the new breed of the American team. The old guards are gone, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are now on the sidelines, and have been replaced by their hungry and ready kids, and they are already used to winning.

There may be complacency if there is a six-point lead, but I will tell you there will be no complacency in the American team room now. They know that this is their big chance to get back in the Ryder Cup and start the streak of results on the way to Team USA.

They have lost nine of their last 12 tournaments, but Captain Striker is a very positive person, a very proud man, and he has instilled those qualities in his team this week. His players are all looking at him, they trust him and they have shown this week how good they are.

For Europe, they didn’t rejoice too much in the Whistling Straits, but a bright spot is the partnership of John Rahm and Sergio Garcia. For me, they are the new Save and Oli, they have been awesome.

It will definitely take a lot to win this thing back in Europe, but nothing is impossible and I would never say there is no chance for them. If they can pull it off, I think it will be the greatest comeback in the history of the sport, not just the Ryder Cup.

That’s why you play the game, that’s why you believe in yourself, that’s why you cut your tail to be one of those 12 players in the European team room. You don’t hang your head, you don’t turn around and tell each other how bad you played.

You look into each other’s eyes and say, ‘We’re going to play as well as we’re going to play, and what’s going to happen is going to happen, but there’s no compromise between us. We are going to fight by fighting ‘.

Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either.
