The federal government of the United States is proving to be completely incapable of judging gerontocracy technology issues – let the big social media companies be controlled or dismantled – Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Con.) Asked Facebook’s security chief to promise to “end the finest.”
The question makes no sense, since “finsta” is not a product or service that Facebook provides. Blumenthal raised the question during a hearing on social media on Thursday about the possibility of harming children, saying he didn’t really know what Finsta was – but thought Facebook should do something, no matter what.
The word finsta Short for “fake Instagram”. This is an unofficial term for a secondary account that an Instagram user creates for more privacy. This secondary account may follow different people than the primary account and may not include the user’s real name or identification details.
“We don’t actually do Finsta,” explained Antigone Davis, Facebook’s head of security. Blumenthal was not satisfied with this answer.

To find out clearly what is happening here, a U.S. senator is claiming that a private company will remove a feature that is not actually responsible for creating the company. And something like this rarely happened for the first time. Sen. (He came up with the print-out of the photo.) “I’m not familiar with that content,” Zuckerberg responded with enough excitement.
Legislators have repeatedly asked Facebook to fail to understand that users can access all information collected about them. Facebook has already done this.
Blumenthal’s confusion over Finsta is a small part of the case against the government for doing something about Big Tech. I have explained many additional reasons in my new book, Technology Panic: Why We Shouldn’t Fear Facebook And The Future, Which was published this week.
