Ranking of PSG’s 5 most creative players in the 21st century

Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain have the most competitive squad in the world at the moment. The club have won nine League 1 titles, seven in the last nine years, and their goal is to win their first Champions League.

Unlike most football powerhouses, PSG do not always have the financial muscle to support their ambitions. Now that they are doing so, they are doing their best to make the most of their good fortune.

Coming to creative footballers is not easy or cheap. But seeing PSG collect some of the best creative footballers in the world, especially in the twenty-first century, is no surprise.

To that end, five of PSG’s most creative players have taken to the field this century.

Not to be outdone by Kylian Mbappe on this list of fine makers. The Frenchman has been one of the best players in the world and has repeatedly proved to be a criterion for PSG since 2017.

The 2018 World Cup winner may have a reputation for being a much higher scorer, but his ability to create is also enough.

The former Monaco man is an expert in finding vulnerable areas and has the skills to back up his vision. His shiny legs and breathtaking speed often pull defenders towards him, leaving his teammates in space. Mbappe tends to feed the ball back to his teammates so they can hit the back of the net.

Mbappe has been in exceptional form since joining from Monaco in 2017. In just 185 matches for PSG, Mbappe has scored 138 goals and 69 assists in all competitions, averaging 1.12 goals per match.

# 4 Angel Di Maria (2015 – present)

Angel Di Maria, one of the most creative footballers in the PSG, has the advantage of fielding. Throughout his colorful career, Argentina has not only created opportunities for his teammates, but also scored important goals.

Playing even higher on the pitch, De Maria has often been used as a winger or attacking midfielder. His speed and crossing ability help when deployed as a winger, while his passing often proves decisive in the middle of the pitch.

De Maria also likes to change it when crossing, throwing a ‘Rabona’ or two if possible. For PSG, De Maria has played 271 matches so far, scoring 89 goals and providing 112 assists.
