Poll: Most Americans say Trump’s immigration policy was better than Biden’s

A new poll by the Rasmussen Report shows that a strong majority of voters believe that former President Trump’s immigration policies were better than those of President Joe Biden.

According to the polling firm, 51 percent of voters have a more favorable view of Trump’s immigration policy, compared to just 32 percent who think Biden’s view of the chaotic border is better.

Only 11 percent think the two immigration policies are the same.

The survey appears to be heavy due to the recent humanitarian crisis of Haitian migrants on the Del Rio-Acuna International Bridge, where at one stage thousands of people were living in helpless conditions.

Trump’s immigration policy is better than Biden’s

Earlier this week, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged that a large majority of Haitian immigrants had been deported to the United States.

“Approximately, I think it’s about 10,000 or more, 12,000,” Mayorkas said as he pressed on how many immigrants were released. “It could be more. The number that has been returned may be even higher. ”

The Haitian immigration crisis is clearly fresh in the minds of voters.

Rasmussen wrote, “Voters strongly disagree with President Joe Biden’s administration’s decision to deport more than 12,000 Haitian immigrants to the United States,” and most now say that former President Donald Trump’s immigration policy was good.

Good with Trump

Laredo Mayor Pete Science, a Democrat, said things were much better under President Biden under Trump.

“We need to secure real borders,” Science told the Washington Free Beacon. “It was working under Trump, call whatever you want to call it, but it was working.”

Science has advised the current president to implement a ‘virtual wall’ that uses advanced surveillance technology at the border.

“If Biden does not come out with the implementation of the virtual wall, people here will beg for the wall, the physical structure, simply because of his lack of attention to the border and especially because of the size of these ges,” he said.

He acknowledged the work on the walls was because they could prevent “law enforcement” or at least buy time, so to speak.

In addition to overtaking Trump in border policy action, a new Harvard CAPS / Harris poll shows that he is more popular than former President Biden.
