New Biden Administrator Guidelines: Illegal Immigrants Should Not Be Deported ‘Singlely’ for Unauthorized

On Thursday, the Biden administration introduced new guidelines that said illegal immigrants should not be deported on that basis alone.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorcas has issued a statement saying his agency’s goal is to arrest, detain and deport illegal immigrants who may pose a threat.

The new rules will take effect next month

Mayorcas said, “We are guided by the knowledge that there are few people in our country who have been here for generations and contributed to the well-being of our country, who were at the forefront of the war against Covid, led the church of faith, and taught our children. ”

“As we try to give way to their dignity, we who do not want to bring danger and will not actually work in conflict by spending resources to make our nation stronger.” He added.

In other words, we are looking for real forgiveness for some people who may have been in the country illegally for some time.

These new rules will take effect at the end of November.

What could be a threat? The guidelines indicate that unauthorized immigrants attempting to enter the United States illegally at the border will be considered a threat to border security. Even under the new guidelines, they will be deported.

Potential deportation also includes anyone who has entered the United States illegally since November 1, 2020.

At the other end of the spectrum, ABC News reports that there are some mitigating factors that reduce a person’s chances of being deported: getting older, getting younger or being a victim of crime.

These new rules are leading to a major crisis at the border, where thousands of Haitian illegal immigrants have crossed the border into Del Rio, Texas.

Immigration workers say they will keep an eye on the new guidelines

Some immigration workers said they would closely monitor how the guidelines were applied.

“A lot of what we’re going to see is going to happen in the next few months, in terms of how it’s going to be implemented at the local field office, and what kind of accountability measures will be taken,” Jacinta Gonzalez, senior campaign organizer at Mizante, told reporters.
