Nervos, a collection of protocols and public blockchain ecosystems, announced today that Force Bridge, its cross-chain resource system, is now live on Mainnet. Force Bridge is now connected to Ethereum and will soon be connected to Cardano and other EVM and non-EVM chains such as Bitcoin, Tron, EOS and Polcadot.
An unreliable cross-chain bridge, Force Bridge allows seamless transactions between the Nervous ecosystem and other public chains, making it easier for developers to extend their dApps to Nervos. Currently, the bridge supports ETH and whitelists ERC-20 tokens, including Dai (DAI), Tether (USDT), and USD Coin (USDC), with more tokens coming in the future.
Remember, Nervos Native Token $ CKB, does not require transferring resources to Nervos via Force Bridge.
How Force Bridge Works
Although most cross-chain bridges require multiple steps before a resource is transferred, only a simple contract needs to be established to initiate a resource transfer in the Force Bridge user or decentralized app (dApp).
When users send resources from Etherium using the Force Bridge User Interface (UI), the resources are locked in a multi-signature wallet in Etherium. The corresponding tokens are then minted on Nervos and sent to the wallet address of the corresponding users.
To ensure the safety and security of the property while navigating the cross-chain, the Nervos community formed a Force Bridge Committee to ensure that the Smart Contract Wallet is safe in Ethereum.
“Force Bridge plays an integral role in our multi-chain solutions, with the goal of creating universal applications that transcend individual blockchains. With the introduction, we are making significant progress on our roadmap and are really moving closer to the inter-connected blockchain ecosystem. ”
-Kevin Wang, co-founder of Nevos
Earlier this year, Nervos announced that it would be joining Cardovo, the latest project of existing research collaboration between Nervos and IOHK.
Once completed, it will be the first cross-chain bridge in Cardano, allowing users to use Nervos and Cardano’s native currency ($ CKB and $ ADA, respectively), as well as create their own tokens (user-defined tokens) across both. Blockchain.
Nervos is moving closer to its vision for an inter-operative blockchain ecosystem. Users of other blockchains will soon be able to use their wallets to trade in the same liquidity pool at CKB with YKaiswap, the first interoperable AMM, DEX, crop cultivation and Nervos ecosystem stacking platform. In addition, the project is preparing an update to transfer $ CKB to Ethereum as a $ CKB ($ WCKB) wrap.
Kevin added, “Blockchain progress is a repetitive process. As we move toward Force Bridge and our multi-chain solutions, we look forward to receiving feedback from the community.”
Nervous has launched The Force Bridge
The Nervos Common Knowledge Base (CKB) is a layer-1, proof of work, universal, unauthorized blockchain protocol of the Nervos network. This allows you to save any crypto asset with the security, immutability and unauthorized nature of Bitcoin while enabling smart contracts and Layer-2 scaling.
Force Bridge is a cross-chain system of various protocols, CKB agreements and off-chain modules that support decentralized, redeemable tokens in CKB, supply-dependent on any property in any blockchain.
