German Shepherd Gunther spent a recent morning playing with his tennis ball, rolling on the grass, snoring a little and getting a lot of sleep. Later, he had a “meeting” with real estate agents who sold his Miami mansion, which his handlers bought from Madonna.
And of course Gunther wore his best wrong diamond dog collar for the meeting – his original gold collar returned to his main home in Tuscany. As crazy as Florida’s standards may seem, Gunther VI inherited his huge fortune from his grandfather Gunther IV, including an eight-bedroom waterfront home once owned by the “Material Girl” singer. At least the handlers who run the estate say so.
The Tuscan-style villa with views of Biscayne Bay sold for $ 31.75 million on Wednesday – a huge markup from the তারকা 7.5 million purchase from the pop star two decades ago. There is also a gold framed portrait of Gunther IV on the fireplace in the living room of the house.

The dog breed began decades ago when Gunther III died in 1992 from the late German Countess Carlotta Liebenstein, a multi-million dollar trust inheritance from her. Since then, a team of handlers has helped maintain a jet-setting lifestyle for dog inheritance. There are trips to Milan and the Bahamas, where the recent Gunther recently ate at a restaurant every evening – his handlers wanting to make sure he’s well socialized.
A chef cooks his breakfast every morning with the best meat, fresh vegetables and rice. Sometimes he enjoys caviar, but sometimes no pores fall in sight. He travels by private jet, working daily with his trainer on loyalty skills and sleeping in a huge round, red velvet bed overlooking the bay.
“She lives in Madonna’s former master bedroom,” said Ruthie Asolin, a real estate agent who listed with her husband Ethan a row of half-dozen waterfront homes next to a public county park for a 1.2-acre (0.5-hectare) property. And the same street where Sylvester Stallone once lived.
“She’s literally sleeping in an Italian custom bed in the former bedroom of the world’s greatest pop star, ignoring the most spectacular scene.”
Carla Riccietli is one of Gunther’s chief executives and is on a board that now manages a trust worth about $ 500 million, deciding when to buy and sell real estate. The group even bought sports teams, including a men’s soccer team and a women’s swimming team, and yes, played on the gunta field and attended meetings, he said.
Riccitelli, a 52-year-old animal lover who lives in Tuscany, met Gunther’s care team about 30 years ago. He immediately joined the dog and faith mission and joined the team. He helped form Gunther Rescue a few years ago to take care of other animals.
He has taken care of the last three guntars and often brings the current dog on regular trips to the market or on canal visits where he takes care of strays.
“He’s not aggressive at all,” he said. “He’s very good with other animals.”
“They are very protective of their owners, of their people. They like to be around the family so I usually invite friends with other dogs, “he said during a phone interview.
He spoke to the trust’s supervisory board several times a month. The Miami real estate market is so hot, with such a limited inventory, they’ve decided it’s time to sell.
Assoulines are accustomed to multi-million dollar lists, but it seemed incredible.
“When it was explained that the house was bought by this German shepherd, I said, ‘What are you talking about? I’m not following you’,” said Ruthie Asolin.
When she first met Gunther, she covered her face with such a sloping kiss that she licked her lipstick, she laughed.
Gunther’s life is as luxurious as his drama and suffering. Back in Italy, Riccietli has two more dogs with Gunther – his favorite playmates.
But he has six cats and a few chickens.
Let’s just say it’s a work in progress, Rikitelli said.
“She’s still learning to live with six cats.”
