E!: Would you show me something in your new relationship? South skin Next season?
ML: I showed a lot of my relationships during my first two years of filming. It was a toxic relationship, and the relationship I am in now is very good and pure and I am going to defend it as much as I can. Therefore, I am not going to show any of it. He has no interest in it. And, you know, it will be hard for people to understand and see my life, but I think many in the industry have realized that it’s worth keeping to yourself.
This is not my first rodeo. People are going to try to break whatever is happy or positive about it, so I have no doubt that something will be said or something like that, but the relationship I have with my fianc and that love is so obvious.
E !: How long have you and Brett been together?
ML: We’re going seven months. You know when you know. I knew instantly when I saw him. And, I wasn’t scared either. There was no red flag. He was a complete angel to me, and not just my son.
E!: Did you still tell Patricia Altschul about your engagement?
ML: I want to see him in person and you know I don’t want to face him or anything. After all this is said and done I want to go there and share the news and I think she will be happy for me. I’m dying to tell him. I was around 18 or 19 years old. I am 31 now. His son Whitney [Sudler-Smith] Not married yet or anything, so I think I like to fill the void for the daughter-in-law, or if she ever wants a girl.
E!: How does Brett feel about you in the eyes of the public?
ML: He’s a shy, more relaxed person who is incredibly helpful. She says, “Oh, these people want to take pictures with you. You should do this because she’s a huge fan. She really supports me and she encourages me. She doesn’t cheer me or my success or anything like that. She’s got me back.” And my teammates.
It’s not like you work with your ex every day [Austen Kroll], But he is not insecure at all and has no reason to. He knows Austin and I have water under the bridge and now we are friends.
