Reuters BAM Stock: Like looking at a Canadian gem

Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) is one of those Canadian stocks that can offer you a better bank for your money.

Toronto-based alternative asset managers provide investors with a wide range of alternative asset exposures (real estate, renewable energy projects, infrastructure, and other “real” or real income-generating assets), many of which are a solid and low common stock vs. relative returns.

With bonds and other risk-free securities not attractive for years to come, Brookfield’s alternative investment portfolio is much more attractive.

Shares of BAM are up 70.4% compared to last year. Despite the speed and now higher valuations, I am overwhelmed by the name, and see no fundamental reason why BAM stock will surrender a significant portion of its recent gains. (See BAM stock chart at TipRanks)

Brookfield Investors Day

Most recently, Brookfield had its annual Investor Day, which planned to double in size over the next five years. Such plans are remarkable for a .. 87.4 billion company.

If the company can deliver its plan, investors could have more than 20% in annual returns by 2026. Low rate environment.

If the right cards are in place, Brookfield could reach his goal ahead of schedule, and in this moderate valuation the stock could be a bargain that is worth traveling north of the border.

Recently, Brookfield announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with private real estate investment company Alien Partners worth about ১ 1 billion. This is one of many agreements that will probably move BAM towards its ambitious five-year goal.

Tech on Wall Street

The BAM stock comes in as a strong buy, according to Tiprank’s analyst rating Sense Low. Of the seven analyst ratings, buy six recommendations, and one hold recommendation.

The average BAM price target is $ 62.05. Analyst price targets range from a low of .3 48.36 per share to a high of $ 71 per share.

The last row

There is a lot of appeal in real estate. In this market, where bonds will earn you money after anything, there is a strong case for betting on a firm that is effectively a stop shop for alternative assets.
