IPL 2021: “IPL is the toughest competition in the world”

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) chased down all-rounder Dwayne Bravo MS Dhoni and the company’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 156 runs with 11 balls to spare in Sharjah on Friday night.

Virat Kohli and Devdutt Paddikal added 111 runs for the first wicket to give RCB a flying start. Just when things were getting out of hand, Dwayne Bravo gave the first blood for CSK, dismissing Kohli (53). The veteran all-rounder put a break in the easy run flow from RCB that never recovered.

At the end of the match, Dwayne Bravo said,

“I just try to be competitive. The IPL is the toughest competition in the world. Some days it works for me, some days it doesn’t. But the pride and love I have for this game keeps me going.”

“Virat [Kohli] Very good player, so important wicket “- Dwayne Bravo

After a brawl between Virat Kohli and Devdutt Paddikal in the first 10 overs, Dwayne Bravo changed his pace to improve the RCB captain. Kohli broke it evenly on the wicket and the ball found a safe hand in Rabindra Jadeja.

Bowling at an economy rate of six on a small Sharjah field, Bravo said he tried to adhere to his core issues.

“RCB is a big side, and Virat is a very good player, so important wickets. He wanted to keep it simple. Variety, yorker, slow ball … just stuck to my core issues. Today I bowled around the wicket and wide yorker, leg stump yorkers. “The batsmen keep wondering which way the ball will go. It’s all about keeping yourself healthy,” added Dwayne Bravo.
