Peter Navarro, a former trade adviser to Donald Trump, called Dr. Anthony Fawcett a “villain” who advised the former president to shoot at least two occasions.
Navarro made the remarks during a radio interview on Wednesday.
Navarro made a complaint that a proposed travel ban had turned into a “screaming match” between the two and led him to conclude that Fawcett was “smarter than him.”
The one-time director of trade and production policy spoke specifically about Fawcett’s role in effective research before the outbreak of the deadly Covid-1.

Peter Navarro: Faucy Evil
During the interview, Peter Navarro said he had asked President Trump to fire Fawcett on at least two occasions, but did not mourn him for not taking his advice.
Navarro said it was not personally wrong for him to have Fawcett on board like Trump, but “it was a mistake for the Republican because that guy is evil.”

He repeated his opinion a second time.
“Make no mistake about it,” Navarro continued. “He’s evil because he was in the American bureaucracy who used taxpayers’ dollars,” Fawcett denied in a statement.

Did Fawcett lie to Congress?
Fawcett, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases under the NIH, has been accused of lying to Congress about US funding for coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Internal documents obtained by The Intercept through the Freedom of Information Act lawsuit show that the NIH provided a “bat coronavirus grant” to a group called the EcoHealth Alliance.
While testifying in the Senate, Fawcett repeatedly insisted that the research funded by the NIH at Wuhan Lab did not qualify as an “act of profit.”
Richard Ebright, a professor of chemical biology at Rutgers University, posted on social media that the earlier assertion that they did not support function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) was false.
“The documents make it clear that the claims of NIH Director, Francis Collins and NIAID Director Anthony Fawcett that NIH does not support profit-function research or the potential epidemic pathogen growth in WIV are untrue,” Ibright wrote.

Senator Rand Paul accused Fawcett of “lying” during his Senate testimony, something that prompted Fawcett to retaliate.
“I have never lied before Congress, and I do not withdraw this statement,” Fawcett replied. “You don’t know what you’re talking about very clearly and I want to say it officially.”

Paul further complained on Tuesday that Dr. Fawcett is lying about natural immunity.
“Hey, this guy has an opinion about baseball, hockey, Tinder and Christmas, but the other day when he was asked about the natural immunity you got after the disease, he said,‘ Oh, that’s a really interesting thought, I I never thought about it, ”Paul laughed.
“I have no opinion because I didn’t think about the naturally acquired immunity,” the Kentucky senator continued. “He has and he’s lying to you.”

Navarro has made other sharply negative remarks about President Biden’s chief medical adviser, with the exception of calling Anthony Fawcett evil.
Navarro wrote a controversial op-ed in USA Today last July that the good doctor said “everything I talked to him about was wrong.”
