Week 7 Weaver Wire: Top Pickup

Nick Chaber’s injury update

Cleveland did not practice on Monday, but if they do, it is assumed that the chab (calf) will not take part. It’s always worrying when a player who was inactive the previous week is playing night football on Thursday, and is facing the chase right this week. The Browns are dealing with quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and injuries on the offensive line, so it will be hard to fully believe against Denver. The Broncos give up fifth-lowest fantasy points to run behind, and while we know Chavez is one of the league’s top backs, it’s hard to imagine the offense will have any kind of success overall. Chaab will probably make a game-time decision.

That being said, Chaab is in PPR as RB5 and RB11 as standard in our game. While not all of the reasons we mentioned will probably have efficiency, there will be volume. The Karim Hunt (calf) is heading towards the injured reserve, so it should be the backfield of the chase for the most part. D’Earnest Johnson will have a role, but the role that Hunt will get if Chaab actually recovers will not be as important. If the chab is out, Johnson is an RB2 with which Dimetric Felton carries some potential flex values. If Chaab plays, think of him as RB1 and Johnson as low-end flex.

Week 7 PPR Ranking:
Quarterback | Run backwards Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

Sakan Berkeley Injury Update

Not much is known about Berkeley (ankle) and his availability for Week 7, but we need to monitor him this week. As always, be prepared for his absence. Devante Booker, Darrell Williams, and Khalil Herbert have all worked extensively in most leagues, so the running back position is very thin. That said, there are still some scraps sitting for waivers, and we’ve identified them in our Best Waiver Pickups for 7 Week article. It’s almost a bad week with bye and injury, so you may have to play some risky boys.

We would rather not play at Berkeley, as his injury was originally diagnosed as a multi-week illness. However, he was not kept in the IR, so he will probably be a “quick healer”. We rank Booker as RB19 in PPR and RB20 in Standard. The Giants will play the Panthers, who have dropped the seventh-lowest fantasy point in Arabic per game. This would generally suggest that Booker should be made much lower in the rankings, but how thin the position is this week.

Week 7 Standard Ranking:
Quarterback | Run backwards Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

Damien Williams Covid-1 Update

After losing last week’s game while on the coveted / reserve list, Williams’ condition has been paralyzed for 7. weeks. We’ve all seen this situation many times now, and it will all come down to him in the two negative Covid-1 tests 2 hours apart. We’re not going to guess whether he’ll do it, but be prepared anyway. Khalil Herbert has the ultimate control over the Arabic touch with David Montgomery (knee) and Williams, so he must start if Williams can’t go anymore.

If Williams returns to action, he is in our RB18 Standard and RB17 PPR League. The Tampa Fantasy Arabic leaves the sixth-lowest fantasy point, but it’s weak against the back through the wind, Williams where Williams excels. If this is the Khalil Herbert show again, he will get a few points less space.
