Sportskida Wrestling caught up with WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre this week. In an exclusive interview, McIntyre talks about a possible match with a PPV and Gypsy King Tyson Fury in the UK.
McIntyre noted that he has been pushing for the UK PPV for a long time. The Scottish Warrior details that the UK is an important market for WWE and fans deserve to see a big PPV live.
“I haven’t stopped talking about this for the last 10 years. Especially since the last year and a half since becoming WWE Champion, I’ve been lucky to have had so many media opportunities. Whatever opportunity I get, I speak the UK is a significant market for us. Fans are so passionate and indifferent the way everyone knows when you watch TV from the UK they deserve a significant PPV.This hasn’t happened since SummerSlam 1992. Next year will be the 30th anniversary.
McIntyre also demanded a match with Tyson Fury to draw the attention of new and worn out fans to the product.
McIntyre said, “I would be very proud if this happened. If I had anything to do with it, it would be one of my biggest accomplishments. In the blink of an eye for fans or new fans for WWE in the UK, let’s do it. I’m about to do whatever it takes. “
