A Michigan doctor says some Kovid-1 patients continue to deny their diagnosis or deny the vaccine from their deathbed.
Matthew Trunsky, a pulmonologist and director of the palliative care unit at Beaumont Health Hospital in southeastern Michigan, drew national attention after hearing what some patent-infected coronavirus had told him.
“You’re the wrong doctor. I don’t have covid” and “I’d rather die than get vaccinated” were among the eight examples shared in a Facebook post in early September.
Tronsky told The Washington Post that medical staff were occasionally abused by patients and their family members. He said more than 100 of his patients died from the coronavirus and 9 out of 10 covid patients were without the vaccine.

As of Saturday, about 55.2% of Americans have been fully vaccinated. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 672,000 people have died from complications related to Covid-1.
The CDC released a survey in September that found that patients without covid were 10 times more likely to be hospitalized and 11 times more likely to die.
Despite his frustration, Trunsky said he is dedicated to providing the same level of care to all his patients, whether vaccinated or not.
“We swear, we all arrive. I think deeply this is why most of us went to medicine – to take care of patients. And who they are and what they decide doesn’t really matter, “Tronsky told Bridge Michigan.
The director of Grand Rap Rapids-based Spectrum Health’s wellness program, Dr. Christine Jacob told Bridge that it is normal for doctors to be frustrated when patients do not take advantage of the vaccine “which could help end the epidemic.”
“There’s a natural tendency to feel defensive and really the fatigue of that empathy is getting worse,” Jacob told Bridge. It’s hard to talk about. No one wants to admit it. “
In his appeal to vaccinate more people, Tronsky shared his experience with eight patients. He told The Post that six of the eight had died and the condition of the other two was critical.
“The numbers are rising. Get vaccinated,” Tronsky said in his post.
