De Santis can buy Covid antibody treatment directly from the manufacturer, the Fed will bypass. Government

On Thursday, Florida Gov. Ron de Santis said he was “very concerned” about President Joe Biden’s decision to limit the distribution of monoclonal antibodies to states when cases of Covid-1 cases were on the rise and demand for treatment there began to rise. Mainly the southern states.

Late last week, Biden announced that the administration would increase shipments by 50% for the month of September.

But earlier this week, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that it was taking control of the nationwide supply and distribution of COVID-19 treatments.

Shortly after the announcement that HHS would regulate the supply of monoclonal antibodies, another statement came that the supply to be used in Florida would be reduced by 50%.

De Santis explained, “So it’s a dramatic reduction, and I’d say it’s doubly problematic because the people at Shane Strum and the Tampa Generals and these other hospital systems that have been doing this are not getting it from the state.”

DeSantis went on to say that from the reduced amount given to the state, anyone providing monoclonal antibody treatment in Florida, including hospitals, would have to get their supply from the state.

The governor added that he would “work like hell” to make sure he was going so that Florida could set up “barriers that the HHS and the Biden administration can overcome” not only in Florida, but in other states as well. He continued, “A huge disruption is going to happen and patients will suffer as a result.”

Desantis added that he had spoken with executives at GlaxoSmithKline, one of the manufacturers of monochromatic antibodies, and that he believed Florida would be able to order treatment directly from them.

Also on Thursday, HHS issued a statement that read:

“HHS will determine the quantity of products received by each state and region on a weekly basis. State and regional health departments will then identify sites that will receive the product and how much. This arrangement will help maintain equitable distribution across the country, both geographically and temporarily-providing consistent, fairly distributed supplies to states and territories in the coming weeks.

According to US News & World Report, only seven states, Florida, Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana received about 70% of orders from manufacturers.

However, with the exception of Louisiana, all of these states have similarities.

They all have Republican governors.

During a news conference Thursday, President Biden de Santis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott were attacked, claiming that they were ignoring “life-saving requirements” by his administration.

Biden added, “This is the worst kind of politics, because it puts the lives of the citizens of their state, especially children, at risk and I am not willing to pay for it.”

In a tweet, Donald Trump Jr. speculated that Biden’s actions could be the result of political retaliation, saying “Americans will die.” For all those who need it. Their blood is directly in Joe’s hands. ”

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) accused Biden and his administration of politicizing the lives of Floridians. “Antibody treatment is not a substitute for vaccines but they have prevented thousands of hospitalizations. Now in a move to withdraw biased retaliation against states like Florida, the Biden administration is rationing these treatments.

History between Biden and Desantis

Ron de Santis and Joe Biden have been at loggerheads since Biden suggested that any governor who opposes the restricted Covid rules should “get out of the way.”

De Santis had nothing to do with it, and immediately dropped out to Biden, citing his poor job at the southern frontier, and announced that he would do whatever he needed to keep the Floridians safe.

Later, when asked about Descent’s remarks, Biden smiled and said, “Who is the governor?” Joe Biden continues to comment on GOP governors who criticize Kovid’s management in their respective states.

DeSantis called him again.

“If he spends less time talking about Florida and more time doing his job as commander-in-chief, then maybe we don’t have the 13 members who were killed in action in Afghanistan because of his incompetence,” he said. And due to negligence in duty.
