CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifier Qatar 2022: TV, Schedule, Results, Standing of South American Eliminators

Qatar, who qualified for the 2022 World Cup in South America, have reached their 11th round match and there are already some teams coming up on Sunday with their backs to them.

Chile (7 points) Host Paraguay (12 points) and a home win for Alexis Sanchez & Co. is essential to stay close to the top half of the table. Bolivia (6 points) will not want to float in the same way and can bring it Peru (11 points) return the pack home at altitude.

There is no such concern Brazil (27 points), which is still going on with his perfect record. But win inside Colombia (1 point) A different proposal against a desperate team. This will be the best game of the round Argentina (19 points) vs. Uruguay (1 point point) Both teams drew goalless on Thursday. Uruguay could potentially catch Argentina with a win.

The top four teams in the bottom rankings get direct tickets to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and the fifth-placed team will advance to the play-off series.

How the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers work

It is not complicated in South America. All 10 countries play in a round-robin format, with each country playing nine other teams at home and abroad (18 matches in total). This is three points for a win, one for a draw and zero for each rate.

After 18 matches, the top four teams in the standings qualify directly for Qatar in 2022, while the fifth-placed team will advance to an intercontinental play-off with a ticket to the Qatar line.
