The WWE Draft 2021 is here because one of the annual visits to today’s episode of SmackDown on Friday night is underway. In an interesting move, Charlotte Flair and former women’s champion Bianca Bellaier have changed brands.
The draft was hosted by on-screen authority figures Adam Pierce and Sonia Devil, who began things tonight with the announcement of Round One picks in the WWE Draft 2021.
Unlike the previous year, there were only four picks in the first round, where both RAW and SmackDown picked up two superstars each.
Roman Rains became the first pick in the WWE Draft 2021
Overall number one pick in the WWE Draft 2021, which, as many expected, was the Universal Champion Roman Empire. The tribal chief picked up SmackDown and the brand he chose would remain the “island of relevance”.
The second overall pick in the draft, picked by Knight RAW on Monday, was WWE Champion Big E.
The first two picks in the WWE Draft 2021 remained on their respective brands, but the next two picks were big surprises.
Friday Night SmackDown has drafted the next RAW female champion Charlotte Flair. It remains to be seen how WWE will handle the situation with its title since SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was not drafted at the time of writing this article.
The fourth pick of the WWE Draft 2021 saw another brand change as former SmackDown women’s champion Bianca Bellaier was picked up by RAW.
Bellaire must be a huge addition to the list of women in the Red brand, which needs a big name after losing the Queen to the Blue brand.
