WHO: Sophie Thatcher
What: We first came up with Sophie Thatcher last year. Just then his Qibi short series When the street lights come on The debut, and the innocence of her cool girl and the sharp features of the razor immediately attracted our attention. We knew then that it was someone to watch. A year ahead, 20-year-old Sholaym is starring in a new psychological thriller called Juliet Lewis, Christina Ricky and Melania Linsky. Yellow jacket. The November 14 premiere date will be marked on your calendar. When a champion football team survives a plane crash in the Ontario wilderness, seemingly normal high school teens come down Lord of flies-Civilized wild clan. Twenty-five years later, survivors try to reconcile what actually happened.
That’s the thing I like the most Yellow jacket There was a script. The script seemed bold and raw and reminiscent of a few of my favorite shows, but with a much deeper twist. Each introduction Yellow jacket So incredibly rich and multidimensional, with complex backstory. I was instantly immersed in their world, and for me that feeling is rare to read most scripts.
I can’t wait for the audience to see what I’ve created with this show because … It is pushing borders and thematically across many areas. The foundation of the show is big, which excites me personally because our story can go anywhere. We never know where the next script will take us or what to expect. Hopefully, people can find solace in all the different characters and their complexity and the story behind them. Our story beautifully covers the trauma motif and how it embodies each person in a significantly more humorous, more natural way between the two stories. In the current context there will be rich characters of the older generation, while the story of the young desert will bring a nostalgia to them for the 90s.
The project featured the likes of Juliet Lewis, Christina Ricksy and Melania Linsky … First, they are all legends. I’ve been looking for three of them since I was a kid. Tawny Cypress is also among the older versions of the cast, and she’s a fantastic actor and a really grounded person around who I really look up to. Starring Christina Ricky Prajak Nation It was a really big milestone for me as a teenager, and getting to know him personally has been such a beautiful, humble experience. I was also completely shocked by Juliet’s performance Natural species killer And What Gilbert is eating grapes. The camera has this natural brilliance in his eyes – this curiosity, rawness and openness. I enjoyed watching him in a few scenes behind a camera and I have never felt such lightning from an actor before. I was really immediately brought into his inner world. He also has spontaneous vibrancy that is so wild and rare among the actors that cannot be matched, and it is out of an honor to see and learn from him and share such a beautiful complex character with him.
The stories or projects that inspired me to work in this industry are … Something I had never seen before. Something that will comfort others. I want to help others feel less alone in my work. I hope I can do this and any project in the future, whatever the character. I want to dig deeper into the human experience and into our inner aspirations and find a way to bring it to the screen and the way Cassavates wants to make others feel less alone through his films. There are some directors like Kelly Richard, Gus Van Sant, Todd Solandz and Derek Sianfrance whom I admire (I also loved working on my own project one day). If you haven’t seen I know this is very true On HBO, please check. Juliet is in it too, and it’s my all-time favorite show. On a less serious note, one of my big goals is to voice a bad character in a video game. I dream a lot about it!
Outside of acting, my other passions include … I also sing. I play and record my synth and make all my voices myself and put my songs in the bandcamp. At the moment it’s very little key, but music is my first love, and it was always therapeutic. I want to make a movie one day soon. I draw and paint and create collages and mixed-media art. I want to work on an animation with my twins, who are very talented animators, very soon. Poetry is also a really nice, therapeutic outlet for me music has always been a similar way. When I’m not working, I’m probably playing a video game on my PS4 (soon to be PS5 … if I want to treat myself) and my virtual-reality headset.
If you catch me off duty, I’m likely to get … A few Victorians with little, folded sleeves. I like to play dress-up, and the roles I see in movies or various video game characters definitely inspire my taste. I like some good shoulder pads. I went through a fun episode where I would put some socks on my shirt over my shoulder and tape them to give the dramatic illusion that I had big shoulders. I always experiment with different looks and make it my own way, no matter how silly the steps to get there. I always change most of my own clothes, somehow I want to create a more rough look. I want to learn to sew one day to take these cells to the next level! I also have a lot of leather jackets, and this has become the biggest part of my wardrobe. No matter how hot it is outside, I will wear one.
When it comes to fashion, I suck perfectly … Usually some Japanese, in the late 90s or early 2000s, something you will see in an old Japanese video game. Some of the designers / brands I’ve really found are Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake, Christian Lacroix, Aya Takano, Hysteric Glamor, Junya Watanabe, and Batsheva.
Without these three pieces my fall dress wouldn’t be complete …
