This week, Universal Music Group, a Dutch-American multinational music corporation, announced the formation of a non-fungible token (NFT) metaverse music group called Kingship, which has four board app yacht clubs (BAYC) NFTs. Following the announcement, hit record producer Timbaland announced the creation of a metaverse-based entertainment company called App-in Productions (AIP), which will also benefit BAYC NFTs.

The Board App Yacht Club (BAYC) is a popular non-fungible token (NFT) collection and its most sold in April 2021, according to Dune Analytics data. BAYC today saw the highest 24-hour trading volume, as 3,934 Ethereum (ETH) or $ 18.3 million was exchanged for BAYC NFT in the last day. The collection of the Board App Yacht Club totals about 10,000 NFT.

The data shows that BAYC has an overall market value of $ 1.82 billion and the collection saw an all-time sales volume of $ 658 million, according to statistics. BAYC has a trading volume of 9,296 traders across 22,122 cells. The average selling price of a single BAYC NFT on November 13 is about .7 29.74K.

The popularity of BAYC has inspired Universal Music Group (UMG), one of the largest music firms in the world, to launch a metaverse supergroup called Kingship. Hit record producer Timbaland releases app-in production

Following the announcement by UMG and 10:22 PM, Timothy Mosley, professionally known as Timbaland, announced the launch of a BAYC entertainment label called Ape-In Productions (AIP). Speaking to News Publishing Variety, Timbaland revealed that the hit record producer said that AIP’s goal is to empower producers.

“We’ve created a new entertainment platform at Metaverse that returns creative control and long-term ownership to artists, an idea that is incredibly important to us,” Timbaland Variety contributor Jem Aswad said.

According to Variety, AIP will release a music group called “Thezoo” and a track that will be added to an NFT collection called “Apesh! T”. The report further states that AIP was created by several members of the Timbaland and BAYC communities. Jonathan Tenenbaum, Andrew Rozner, Gary Marela, Clement Quan and Beatclubs from Timbaland will also contribute.
