Orlando Bravo, a millionaire who is the co-founder of private equity firm Thoma Bravo, says he is very excited about Bitcoin, hoping the cryptocurrency will “grow significantly”. He described: “Crypto is a great system. It’s non-frictional. It’s decentralized. And young people want their own finances. So it’s here to stay.”
Billionaire investor in Bitcoin ‘very bullish’
Orlando Bravo, co-founder and managing partner of private equity firm Thoma Bravo, spoke about Bitcoin at CNBC’s Delivering Alpha Conference on Wednesday. According to Forbes, as of September 29, his net worth is 6. 6.3 billion. Bravo was the first Puerto Rican-born millionaire.
“How could you not love crypto?” He said in detail at the conference,
Crypto is a great system. It is non-abrasive. It is decentralized. And young people want their own financial system. So to stay here.
The millionaire investor added, “Blockchain’s underlying technology, regardless of which protocol or system you’re building on, can be very powerful and sometimes provides better use than data-based software.”
In July, Thomas Bravo participated in a fundraising round for FTX Trading Limited, owner and operator of cryptocurrency exchange FTX.
Bravo revealed Wednesday that he has personally invested in Bitcoin, citing:
For me, it’s pretty simple. More people are going to use it in the future than today, and it is going to be more established. Institutions have just started to go there, and once that happens, I think it will grow significantly over the years. I am very bullish.
