Bajuka Chewing Gum, Candy and Collectibles American company Tops Company Inc. has announced the launch of the 2nd Series 2021 Tops Baseball NFT collection. Tops’ latest non-fungible token product follows the company’s MLB Inception NFT Collection release. Collectibles company Tops says it is the firm’s largest MLB NFT launch to date.
Tops Series 2 has launched the MLB NFT collection
At the end of August, collectible company Tops launched its first series of 2021 NFT Major League Baseball (MLB) NFT collections called “Inception”. A month later in October, Tops launched the second series of NFT MLB Collectibles through the blockchain protocol Avalanche. The new NFTs are based on the 2021 Tops Series 2 baseball physical product sold and will be available via toppsnfts.com.
The standard and premium packs for the 2021 Topps Series 2 Baseball NFT Collection went on sale on October 4th, and NFT Collectibles has a rarity of cards ranging from ordinary to legendary. Tobin Lent, VP and Global General Manager at Tops Digital Sports and Entertainment, explains that the MLB NFT Series NFT is good for both the experienced and the novice.
“Our Tops MLB NFT products have created a fun, easy-to-use collection experience for many who have previously collected NFT and who want to purchase them first,” Lent said in a statement sent to Bitcoin.com. Tops executives added:
Series 2 Baseball provides annual snapshots of the many twists and turns of an MLB season and this release gives collectors the opportunity to collect those memorable moments in a unique new way.
The company’s first series of collectible MLB collections sold out in 96 minutes, bringing the radical Candy Digital MLB competition
According to the Toppsnfts.com web portal, a standard pack of NFT baseball cards is $ 15 per pack and they come with eight cards per pack. 25,000 packs have been released and the probability of getting a rarity card is 16.64%.
The chances of getting a very rare card are 14.23%, and the chances of getting a legendary NFT card from the series are much lower at 0.04%. A standard pack buyer is guaranteed to receive at least one rare card. Premium packs are much more expensive at 150 150 per pack but the legendary odds are high.
The chance of getting a legend card in a premium pack is 0.88% and the chance of getting an epic NFT card is around 30.50%. Three Epic NFT Cards confirmed and All-Star and 70th Anniversary Platinum Facial Signature NFT Cards are exclusive to premium pack buyers.
In August, the first 2021 Tops MLB Inception NFT Collection went on sale in just 96 minutes, with more than 22,000 unique buyers on sale. Tops says the hottest secondary sales in the Inception collection include 3 of the legendary Vladimir Guerrero Jr. letter booklets and 1 of the 23 Epic Juan Soto Red Rookie and Future Phenomena Facsimile Signature NFT collectible cards.
So far, in the case of Major League Baseball NFT cards and packs, Tops has cornered the market. Meanwhile, NBA Top Shot has launched non-fungible token collectibles tied to NBA players and their biggest moments. However, Tops will lose its partnership with MLB in 2026 because the league has signed a deal with sportswear maker Fanatics. It is quite possible that fanatics can take the MLB NFT game from that point.
MLB has partnered with Candy Digital and the platform has released MLB-branded NFTs as Lou Gehrig’s 1-of-1 token. In addition, the Los Angeles Dodgers Club has released an NFT version of the 2020 World Series ring. In fact, fanatics are deeply involved with Standup Candy Digital because the company’s founders include billionaire investor Michael Novogratz, digital media entrepreneur Gary Weinerchuk and fanatics chairman Michael Rubin.
